the home stretch

ok, so im like not a writer, or even a speller, but that mean-assed natalie said i had to do a blog. who cares if all the other kids are doing it?

so lets see. this week, i got a dress named after me, my very own evil genius trading card, and we all suffered through thousands of terrible 300 jokes. thanks for the dress marleen. thanks for the card mischief. i dont have any good pics of dt to post, so you just have to live with what ever i feel like posting. like pics of me(see photo).

prim and prim. "prim" prim (prim), PRIM: prim prim *prim*. prim? thats all anyone talks about these days. its really cramping my style as an ace prim hog. i guess though, the project never really gets exciting and dangerous until the prims run out. so weve been trying to do a lot of cleaning up and oh... its boring even writing about it. you get the idea. we did test the new deprimed roads carefully. nat insulted my driving, though i dont know why (see photo). TONIGHT, WE DE-PRIM IN HELL! (reference bad 300 jokes, above)

...and we did get some work done too. abbey, nat and i made an excellent diner. no pics of that. you will have to be surprised. its very nice, trust me. abbey did some lovely subway graffitti, and some great old faded ads on the buildings. the brownstones have changed builders again to um.... everyone. they are the last buildings left to do so we are just gonna have to buckle down get those things done. push got some quality linden bashing time in while treeing the park. why cant you pick what tree, anyway?

after the brownstones, we are down to finishing touches. signage for the subway, the laundrymat, the club... the usual crossing the blahhs, and dotting the whatevers.

groovie. we are in the home stretch and this sim looks fucking amazing. there, i said it. i cant wait to get this place open and inflict the fruits of our labor on the world at large. see yah.

Marching On...And Off.

-dusts off the blog- Heh, oops. I have been a bad blogger. I apologize. Lots has happened...I think. Um...where to start? I don't know if I can even remember it all. Hm. Oh, Push finished the coolest record store ever. Flops is currently working on a skyscraper...ish building. Abbey is making fancy details like street signs with varying levels of dirt! I don't know why that sentence needed an exclamation point really. It just seemed like that kind of obsessive/anal attention to detail deserved my enthusiasm. You know? Flops gets it.

Anyway, the layout has changed a bit, most drastic is the positional switching of the brownstones and the park. Oh speaking of the brownstones, they are now to be built by Julliette Westerburg, [Yeah, that one, Tres Blah fame.]

Hum, I guess thats it for now, time for pictures. Yay:

Oh, eh, if you hear anything about a prim limit problem...just ignore it. It's all vicious rumors, rumors and LIES I say!

Rational thought is now defunct

Alright so its been a while since I've updated here, yes I know. Its been a busy couple of weeks and I haven't had much time but I've gotta say downtown is progressing very well. Flopsie, Abbey and Nat have been doing an amazing job on the subway system, and it looks pretty much finished from what I can see. Texturing is coming along on the rest of the buildings and they're pretty much almost done which I guess just leaves all the detailing work to do. Hmm I don't really know what else to say since I'm not exactly sure whats been goin on. So I'll leave you with some inspirational pics that I took while in New York.

Yada, yada, yada...

Well, I wont lie, this week has been a bit odd. I'm not sure what caused the weirdness but everyone, including myself, seems slightly off. Maybe we're getting a little burnt out. I'm sure its nothing a few hours of shooting each other wont cure. I hope.

Anyway, subway work continues, texturing, yada, yada, yada...

Hey, if you read this thing, let us know, leave a comment, stroke our fragile egos, something, anything?

Sorry, what's that?

You cant?

You're b-..?

Oh I see.

No, I understand.

No, really, it's fine. Go wash your hair.

I'll call you later?

Hello?

Bitches.

Arrr, slacker sky pirates of the world unite.

A battle-- a fierce battle --took place in the skies and streets of Downtown yesterday. Push and I hopped in our Jolly Roger hotair balloon [made by Finn McCellan, incase you hope to have your own sky pirate battle] and began to nuke a little tour group. It may have been overkill to use nukes against 4 or 5 people, but it sure was fun. Atleast, it was fun, until our balloon was wedged into Chinatown like a...something...wedged into...something else. Yeah. Anyway, then we battled on foot for awhile with Abbey and flopsie. It's amazing we get anything done really.

Lets see, what else happened... Oh, I finally caught up with Trevor, he's been a bit busy in rl. I asked about the missing buildings and it turns out he did save copies. So that's good, though I cant get them to line up the right way now...cause I'm a 'tard. Also, he'll be gone for a week on a trip to Boston and New York City, but he promised to bring back lots of pictures and anecdotes.

In other news, flopsie has made an awesome factory-looking building, which will actually be a cafe. Abbey continues to make Chinatown one of the coolest spots in the city. And flopsie and I are working on the subway, I'm excited about it.

Okay. That's all for today, my ability to focus is gone.

What the shit!

Okay, so I logged on, I procrastinated, I hung some lanterns in chinatown, I procrastinated some more, and then did a quick fly around to see what else needed to be done. Upon reaching the eastern block of the main road, I made a most unsettling discovery. Dun dun DUN. A building was missing! And across the street, another lay in ruins! Well, fuck. How did this happen? I really have no idea. I assume it was an accident, though noone has claimed the blame for it. A mystery, indeed. Oh well. I'm hoping Trevor has a copy of the missing and broken buildings, but he hasnt been on yet today...so, we'll see.

Edit: Oh and Happy Valentine's Day. May your chocolate fill the void.
